Bio
Amy Dickerson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Connecticut, a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™ and a CT Credentialed TF-CBT Clinician. She is the owner of AED Psychotherapy, LLC, a private practice in New Canaan, CT. Amy earned a Master of Mental Health Counseling degree from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Arts in Therapy and Psychology from Russell Sage College. Her passion lies in working with children, adolescents, and parents to help them to identify, express and cope with emotions. Amy utilizes a prescriptive approach that is based in both Client-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has proudly served on the New England Association for Play Therapy Board since May 2022 fulfilling several roles including CT State Liaison (’22-’23) as well as Conference Chair (’23-’24).
